Life Quiz

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

(Rom 10:13-15)

The Path To Salvation Card

Salvation Card

  • Realize who you are:

    • You are a rebel and serve a false god. Rebellion makes you an enemy to GOD.

    • You are a sinner and cannot approach the true GOD. Read the Ten Commandments and be honest with yourself

    • You are a fallen angel (the offspring of GOD) and do not belong here on earth. You are the Prodigal Son in the parable.

  • Realize what you need to restore yourself:

    • You need reconciliation, so you can return to where you belong.

      • GOD the Heavenly Father loves you and wants reconciliation with man; He wants to reconcile with you.

      • Jesus Christ is GOD's plan for man's reconciliation with GOD the Father; Jesus Christ is your only path to reconciliation.

    • You need a way to approach GOD. This means you either need a way to clean yourself of sin, or you need an intercessor that has access to Heaven and the Throne.

      • Christians are Jesus' ministers of reconciliation, they can help you.

      • Jesus Christ has access to Heaven and the Throne, and is willing to intercede for you.

  • Repent for the remission of sins:

    • Change course; from being self-serving to GOD serving.

    • Repentance means being sorry enough to stop. If you are still actively living in the sin, or are still active in your pursuit of sinful lusts, you have not entered into a state of repentance.

    • This is different than deliverance from sin: repentance is you stopping yourself in the act, deliverance is Jesus removing the urge entirely. Repentance is active; you are attempting to put your sinning on hold, hoping that this pause will help you recognize the solution for sin when you see it.

    • Repentance brings remission of sin. Think of sin being a cancer, this remission will help you realize who Jesus is.

  • Look:

    • Look upon Jesus and witness what he did. You can do this by reading the Gospels or by hearing an evangelist.

  • Realize who Jesus is:

    • Realize that Jesus is not merely a man. Realize that Jesus is the solution to sin and death. Realize that Jesus is the Son of God, that is, the Christ.

  • Accept:

    • Accept the solution provided for salvation; that is, accept Jesus as the Christ, accept his sacrifice on the Cross for your sins, accept his conquering of the grave and death, accept his ascension to Heaven, accept his promised return as true, and accept his testimony (The Word of God).

    • After this, you are now Saved from the judgement of sin. The sentence for sin is death, so you are saved from death.

    • Also, Jesus becomes your intercessor, he approaches the Throne of GOD for you and reconciles you to GOD and His Kingdom. This clears you from the charge of rebellion.

    • Also, Jesus becomes your brother, he calls you family and gives you a new name; this secures your place in Heaven and makes you a son of GOD. This is fully realized after your body dies on earth.

    • Also, you are put into the Lord Jesus' service as a minister of reconciliation.

    • Jesus does other things for you, but those will be made known as you grow, in due time.

  • Forsake:

    • Give up your sins and transgressions to Jesus, He will help you break free from their chains.

    • This is where deliverance from sin becomes a major part of the Christian's walk.

  • Put on righteousness:

    • Jesus Christ is righteousness, so you need to put on Jesus -- this is more than emulation, John the Baptist says "I must decrease and He must increase". Read Colossians 3:1-17 for details.

    • This is where deliverance takes you, it includes conquering sin by the strength of Jesus Christ through His indwelling Holy Spirit and leads to sinless perfection.

  • Remember the first things:

    • Read the Sermon on the Mount, it is the foundation of the New Testament.

    • Keep yourself in Christ's Faith, Hope and Love. This is what keeps you ready for Christ's return.

    • This remembrance protects you from lies and false teachings.

  • Associate:

    • Find some Christians for fellowship; a Church or Christian friends.

    • See the "Church" page for more information.

  • Share:

    • Share the Gospel. The Gospel is the Good News message of Jesus Christ.

    • Share your personal testimony. This is your sermon. Baptism is tied to this.

    • Share your Christian conversation. The Christian conversation is how you live and conduct yourself. This becomes a second testimony.

Bible Passage: The Ten Commandments:

  • Exo 20:1-17  And God spake all these words, saying, 2  I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: 5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me; 6  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. 7  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 8  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9  Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10  But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: 11  For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 12  Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 13  Thou shalt not kill. 14  Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15  Thou shalt not steal. 16  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 17  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.

10 Commandments

Bible Passage: The Ministry of Reconciliation:

  • 2nd Corinthians 5:11-21  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 12  For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to [answer] them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. 13  For whether we be beside ourselves, [it is] to God: or whether we be sober, [it is] for your cause. 14  For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15  And [that] he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more. 17  Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18  And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21  For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

New Self

Bible Passage: Put On the New Self:

  • Colossians 3:1-17  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4  When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6  For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10  And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision [nor] uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ [is] all, and in all. 12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13  Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye. 14  And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Bible Passage: Paul Preaches to the Men of Athens:

  • Acts 17:22-31   Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, [Ye] men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23  For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25  Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29  Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. 30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead.
